NBA DFS Picks on PrizePicks and Underdog Fantasy (Wednesday, Mar. 8)

Every day, we will share the best player projection picks for PrizePicks and Underdog Fantasy based on our simulations. These two sites are pick’em-based sites that require you to combine multiple picks to win cash payouts.

Our top picks for the day are based on play-by-play simulations to determine the chances of a pick succeeding. Additionally, we’ve eliminated scenarios where injuries could affect the results.

The table will update about four times per day between 2:00 p.m. ET and 6:30 p.m. ET. We’ll keep track of the success rate of our top three plays and update you on how we did with our recommended bets.

Since the projections will change throughout the day, we’ll use the final update at 6:30 p.m. ET for grading.

The table below will include both NBA  picks for PrizePicks and Underdog Fantasy, along with NHL picks on PrizePicks.

Notable NBA DFS Spots Wednesday Night

  • The value of choice on this slate is Isaiah Joe as they are playing without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. With SGA off the floor this season, Joe has averaged a +5.9 DraftKings Plus/Minus. He has doubled his scoring output to 15.9 points per game while shooting 52.7% from the field. In his first season with the Thunder, Joe has become a knock-down 3-point shooter with a 44.4% from behind the arc.
  • Jayson Tatum is in the lineup for the Celtics against the Trail Blazers after sitting out the last game due to a back-to-back. He has a high ceiling, as he is averaging 30.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game this season. The Trail Blazers have a 27th-ranked defensive rating and 23rd-ranked rebounding percentage, which bodes well for Tatum’s fantasy prospects. Tatum has 9 Pro Trends on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
  • The best game environment to target is this Eastern Conference clash between the Hawks and Wizards. The Hawks are 3.5-point road favorites, and this game has the highest total at 236 points. De’Andre Hunter has started all 55 games he has played this season, and his salary remains cheap on both DraftKings and FanDuel. He ranks third on the team behind Trae Young and Dejounte Murray in scoring. He hasn’t provided much in the peripherals department, but this is a good scoring matchup for him.
  • Al Horford is the highest-value power forward/center option on FanDuel tonight. He had a great game last time out and will look to continue that success against a Trail Blazers team that is susceptible to points in the paint and defending the glass, which provides upside for Horford, who has recorded double-doubles in his last two games.
