How to Bet on Today’s MLB Slate

If you’re interested in golf, particularly the Open Championship which starts tomorrow, then you’ll want to place your first $5 bet with FanDuel Sportsbook today. That way, you can use your $100 in bonus bets to cash in on some of the world’s best golf.

With that being said, let’s take a look at my favorite MLB game of the day: Yankees at Angels.

A Look at Angels vs. Yankees

Most of the MLB talk for the next couple of weeks will be surrounding Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani and his potential future destination.

Will the Angels trade him at the deadline or will they hang on for dear life? That’s the big mystery, but for now, it doesn’t matter. The Angels are 48-48 and still have a chance to make the playoffs. They need every win they can get, and their focus today will be on the game against the Yankees.

This is the third and final game of the Yankees-Angels series in Los Angeles, and the Angels are looking for a timely sweep after taking the first two games. While sweeping the Yankees is no easy feat, the Angels have what it takes. Let’s look at the pitching matchup.

Rodon vs. Silseth

Carlos Rodon is set to take the hill for the Yankees. As one of New York’s key offseason acquisitions, Rodon hasn’t been what they expected thus far.

He’s been injured for nearly the entire season and has just recently made his debut. He’s a talented arm, but the injuries have stacked up and made it difficult for him to find a rhythm. In just 10.1 innings pitched this season, he’s 0-2 with a 5.23 ERA. But he’s still finding his way.

For the Angels, they have Chase Silseth on the mound. Silseth hasn’t pitched much this season — throwing only 18.2 innings (5.30 ERA).

Neither one of these pitchers inspires a lot of confidence, which is why I’m backing the offense I trust more right now — the Angels.

The Bet

Ohtani is mashing right now and looks unstoppable. He’s leading the league in home runs (35), slugging (.680) and OPS (1.072). Betting against this guy’s bat is a mistake right now. Don’t fall victim to that.

You can get the Angels ML at +120 right now an FanDuel Sportsbook.
