FanDuel Bet Ideas for Wednesday

With two nationally televised NBA games on ESPN tonight, it’s a great day for basketball fans. If you plan on tuning into the games, you might as well get in on the betting action. Thanks to FanDuel Sportsbook in Massachusetts, you can earn a sweet boost to get your betting account going the right way. Here’s a look at the two games on ESPN.

The first game is an Eastern Conference showdown between two of the top dogs in the conference, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Both of these teams are sitting pretty with the Sixers at 45-22 and the Cavs at 44-27. This is an interesting matchup because both teams feature an elite offensive-minded backcourt and a tough frontcourt.

Normally, I’d be all over the Cavs in this situation. They’re a team that typically matches up well with Philly with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley to take turns defending Joel Embiid down low. Plus, their backcourt of Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell is too much for the Sixers’ defense to handle. However, Allen won’t be playing in this game, which means the Embiid assignment will likely be solely on Mobley. As much as I love Mobley, I don’t think he’s strong enough to contain Embiid at this point in his career. I like the Sixers to cover the 2.5-point spread tonight with Embiid carrying them home.

The second game is between the Warriors and Clippers. Both of these teams have gone through rough patches during the season but still have their eyes set on the NBA Finals. This is an important tune-up game for both sides, but I can’t get myself to pick the Clippers, as good as I think they can be. Steph Curry is playing too well. Klay Thompson is playing too well. And the Warriors have a higher ceiling if everything is clicking. I like the Warriors to win outright on the moneyline.

If you parlay the Sixers to cover the spread and the Warriors to win outright, FanDuel will give you +327 odds. That’s incredible value.
